October 1, 2018 by Adam Smith

We are going to show you the top warning signs you’re being cheated on because no ones like or want this to happen to them. The fact is it’s terrible to be cheated on, but the sad part is, this happens every day to millions of people.

Almost everyone at some point in time either goes through a breakup because of being cheated on or knows someone who has.

We wanted to write a guide on the top warning signs you’re being cheated on to help anyone spot the signs of mistrust and cheating in a relationship. Hopefully, this guide will help you spot the signs so you can take the appropriate action to verify if this is what’s really happening.

According to Trustify – In over 1/3 of marriages, one or both partners admit to cheating

Warning Signs You’re Being Cheated On

Warning signs of cheating

Instinct or gut feeling

The age-old saying of following your gut could be a warning sign you can’t ignore. If you feel like something has changed it probably has. No one would no better then you if something changes in your relationship.

Emotional disconnect

Do you see an emotional gap or disconnect all of a sudden? Or even a slow disconnect that is happening over time? This could be a sign that your significant other has shifted these emotions to someone else.

Longer working days

Does your significant other work long hours all of a sudden? Typically, you would hear about a project that would require longer hours or know about these changes up front. If all of a sudden work days turn into late nights with no explanation this could be a sign that something else is happening.

Never leaves their cellphone Unattended

Is your significant other never without their phone? Even when they sleep the phone is next to them? If so, this could be a warning sign they could be protecting or hiding something.

Can’t account for their time

Do you get half-baked answers when you ask where he or she has been? Especially for someone that has been together for a while and you know each others schedule. These are subtle signs that something is not right.

Seems secretive or walks away when cell phone rings

Every time the phone rings if you notice that he or she moves or walks into another room this could be a reason for concern. There is a reason that they do not want you to listen to the phone call at hand.

Sex life slows down or even stops altogether

Is your bedroom time been cut in half or even nonexistent? This could happen quickly and is one of the biggest signs you’re being cheated on. This especially holds true if your love life was going well and then a huge drop or cut off happens.

Dressing and smelling better

Do you see a physical change to the person yours with? Does he or she dress sexier for work or for other times when they would normally not do this? Do they smell different by using more cologne or perfume when you’re significant other never use these kinds of products? This could also be a red flag that something is not right.

Avoiding you

Do you notice you’re getting the cold shoulder or being avoided? If you feel like your purposely not getting the attention you were getting for no apparent reason this could be a sign things have changed.

Date nights or going out stops

If you haven’t gone out with each other on dates, or just, in general, this is not a good sign. This is a tricky one because it could just be that time is not allowing for this. However, if you were going out a lot and this stops, this could be a warning sign.

Lipstick Stains

This goes without saying. If you find lipstick or makeup products on his shirt there isn’t much explaining to do. He is probably seeing someone else or at least getting to close to someone he shouldn’t be.

Always picking a fight

A warning sign of possible cheating is when your significant other is constantly picking fights for no reason. He or she may look for anything and everything to start issues with.

Internet history starts getting reset or erased

Constantly clearing internet history and cookies could be a sign he or she is hiding something from you. There are ways to recover and see this data even if the history has been deleted. Like system restore.

Asking about cheating

Asking your significant other about cheating and you do not like the response you get back. This could be a sign that he or she wants to tell you but just can’t.

Verify and Check Your Significant Other

Just because he or she fits into some of the above warning signs does not mean they are cheating on you. Before jumping to any conclusion you should take the time to follow up with some of these warnings to in fact see if they are because your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, or partner are cheating on you.

Try running a public record search to see if any hidden profiles appear, or to see what background information you can find.

This would be a good first step to finding out information without confronting your partner head on. There are ways to approach your partner if you find evidence backing up the signs you’re being cheated on.

If you have tried to talk about these feelings with your partner but really do not get the answers you’re looking for or get pushback you may need to look for more concrete evidence or even look for professional help.
