From 2000 to 2017 the rate per 1,000 total population is showing a decrease in the number of divorces that take place in the U.S. Which can be uppon as good news. This means people are getting fewer divorces. But at what price? our people staying married and are more miserable than ever? perhaps.

In the United States there is a 50% chance that a married couple will be divorced within the first 8.2 years of marriage. And just slightly less time for a second marriage. Even though we see slight decrease in the rate of divorces from 2010 to 2017 per 1,000 total population the rate is still quite high.

The ugly truth about divorce statistics in America – Kids get hurt

Studies have been done that show children suffer from divorce. There are methods and guides to help a child before, during, and after divorce that can help them cope with the stressful and consuming time a divorce can bring. Studies also show that kids may be less healthy then kids that are not from a divorced family. This is due to a highly stressful situation that can make even the strongest of adults feel overwhelmed.
