Startling statistics

According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Florida, there are over 325,000 outstanding warrants. Including in this warrant, numbers are both misdemeanor and felony warrants.

Out of those, there are 273 kidnapping warrants, 898 homicide warrants, and 565 sexual assault outstanding warrants. Even with those larger numbers, a big percentage of outstanding warrants are never imputed into the system because of a requirement that states the warrants did not have to be inputted into the FBI’s national system.

Bench warrants are when someone skips out on a court hearing. When this happens a warrant is issued for them. Most of these warrants are closed when the person gets pulled over for traffic stops and the warrant is brought found by the officer. However, these warrants can go unnoticed for months or even years.

Regardless of how you find these warrants in Florida, the information provided in these documents is important in helping make more informed decisions.
