Florida courts structure

Within the state of Florida, the court system is comprised of the Supreme Court, this is the highest court in Florida. Five district courts of appeals, 20 circuit courts, and 67 county courts. The below shows which each is and what their role is within the Florida court system.

Supreme Court of Florida

This is the highest court that someone can go to. This court system has been around for 150 years. Courts from the district courts of appeal may go the Supreme court.

You have five District Courts of Appeals within Florida they are located in:
